1. Who We Are

Niexbot ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Juan Nieto as an individual service. For GDPR purposes, Juan Nieto is the data controller.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Usage Analytics (Self-Hosted)

We run a self-hosted analytics system — no third-party analytics providers (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel). When you visit a page or use a tool, we log:

• Page path visited (e.g. /tools/vocal-stem-separator.html)
• Referrer URL (the site you came from, if any)
• Browser language and a general user agent string
• Truncated IP address (stored to 45 characters max; not used for profiling)
• Anonymous session identifier (random string, stored in your browser's sessionStorage for the duration of your visit)
• Timestamp

This data is used solely to understand which tools are used and how the site performs. It is never linked to your identity and never shared with third parties.

2.2 Audio & Media Files

When you upload an audio file to our processing tools (noise cleaner, stem separator, LUFS checker, etc.):

• Files are processed entirely on our local GPU hardware in Germany.
• Files are deleted immediately after you download the result — they are not stored, archived, or used for any other purpose.
• No audio content is ever sent to third-party AI services or cloud providers.

2.3 AI Image & Music Generation

Text prompts you submit to our image or music generators are processed on local hardware and are not retained after the result is delivered. Prompts are not used to train models.

2.4 Chat

Messages sent through the Niexbot chat interface are processed by an AI model running locally on our hardware. Conversation history is held in memory for the duration of your session and is not persistently stored on our servers.

2.5 Contact & Support

If you contact us by email, we retain your message and email address to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing lists.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

Niexbot does not use third-party tracking cookies. We use browser storage as follows:

• sessionStorage — anonymous session ID for analytics (cleared when you close the browser tab).
• localStorage — your cookie consent choice and (if you use the chat) recent chat history for continuity across page navigation. This data never leaves your device.

You can clear all stored data at any time via your browser's developer tools or privacy settings.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Bunny Fonts (fonts.bunny.net) — a privacy-friendly font CDN that does not track users or log IP addresses. Bunny.net Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare — our tunnel provider for secure connectivity. Cloudflare may process connection metadata as part of its network operations. Cloudflare Privacy Policy

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any advertising network.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — self-hosted analytics to understand site usage and improve performance, using minimal data and no profiling.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — where indicated by your cookie consent choice.
• Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — processing your files and requests to deliver the tool output you requested.

6. Your Rights (GDPR — EU/EEA Residents)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your personal data.
• Restriction — request that we limit how we process your data.
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Germany: BfDI (bfdi.bund.de).

7. Your Rights (CCPA — California Residents)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected and how it is used.
• Request deletion of personal information.
• Opt out of the sale of personal information.

We do not sell personal information. To submit a request, contact [email protected].

8. Data Retention

• Analytics logs — retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Uploaded files — deleted immediately after processing (typically within seconds).
• Email correspondence — retained as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry, then deleted.

9. Children's Privacy

Niexbot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

10. International Transfers

All processing takes place on servers located in Germany (EU). No personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA as part of our core operations. Cloudflare's network may route traffic through non-EU nodes; see their privacy policy for details.

11. Security

We use HTTPS for all connections, access controls on our hardware, and do not retain sensitive data beyond what is needed for immediate processing. No system is 100% secure; if you discover a vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to [email protected].

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
